Nature Guardians (East Hants)

The East Hants Chapter is currently transitioning from a family chapter to a Nature Guardian Chapter. Nature Guardians is a program just for older youth, where no parent or guardian supervision is required on our once-a-month field trip. The Nature Guardians take the YNC Chapter model one step further by not only exploring a new natural space each month but also stewarding our local “naturehood” by working on conservation action projects together. Chapter Leader – Allison Gilby

There is no place Allison would rather be than deep in the forest or beside the ocean, and she loves to share her enthusiasm for the natural world with others. On weekdays, you will find her adventuring with the children in her nature playschool and tending to her little hobby farm; on weekends, she is usually heading farther afield to check out some new nature spot or visit an old favourite. It brings her much pleasure to share these spaces and experiences with others, including the families who are a part of the Young Naturalists Club. Email Ally at allyclair @hotmail.com
