In 2022, the Nature Guardians chapter made some accidental friends at Shubie Park when we took a snack break after hunting for monarch butterflies. Those friendly interactions with some very brave red squirrels and chipmunks prompted us to take on a new project, one cataloguing the park’s squirrel diversity. We used these journals as a template and thought we’d share them in case other young naturalists would like to record their “nutty” antics!
